# MCP overview

> Let an AI agent schedule and publish for you over the Model Context Protocol.

Postbase is **MCP-native**. Connect it to an MCP client — Claude, Cursor,
Claude Code, VS Code, Windsurf, Gemini CLI, and more — and your agent can list
channels, draft, schedule, and cancel posts in plain language.

> "Schedule this thread for 9am to X and LinkedIn."

## Two ways to connect

    A hosted connector — paste one URL and sign in through Postbase. No API key
    to manage. Best for Claude and other clients that support remote MCP.
  </Card>

  <Card title="API key" icon="key" href="/mcp/connect">
    Run the MCP server locally with `npx @postbasehq/mcp` and a Postbase API
    key. Works everywhere, including offline-first clients.

Both connect to the same tools and act on one workspace. Manage keys and
connected apps under **AI & API** in the app.
