# Development

> Contribute to Postbase.

Postbase is open source under the AGPL. Contributions are welcome.

## Stack

* **Next.js 15** (App Router, React 19, TypeScript)
* **Tailwind CSS v4** with CSS-variable design tokens
* **Supabase** (Postgres + Auth), with RLS
* **MCP** server for AI-agent access

## Local setup

Follow [installation](/self-hosting/installation) to run the app locally, then:

npx tsc --noEmit
```

## Guidelines

* Match the surrounding code — naming, comments, and idioms.
* Keep the database org-scoped: every query filters by workspace.
* New tables get a migration in `supabase/migrations` and, where they hold
  sensitive data, RLS enabled.
